Coquitlam RCMP on lookout for missing girl, 14
Coquitlam RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance to locate a missing teenage girl.
Lorna Nelmes was last seen by her father on Jan. 13 when he dropped her off at a drop-in center near the Lougheed Mall area in Burnaby. When Nelmes did not go home, the family contacted the Coquitlam RCMP on Jan. 15 to report her missing.
Nelmes is described as an Aboriginal girl, four feet 11 inches, with brown eyes and blond hair. She was last seen wearing a brown vest, yellow hoodie and dark-blue jeans. Nelmes is neither on medication nor considered at risk for suicide. She is known to frequent New Westminster and may have headed there with her friend, Shawn Esconde, a Southeast Asian mal[e], who is also 14, about five feet four inches, 119 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
